Throughout my time at the University of Minnesota, I studied the intersection of strategic communications and digital design. My coursework was led by curiosity, choosing classes that let me explore different aspects of my skillset. This helped me grow and develop my abilities in the various avenues of my degree and passions. Below highlights some of my most valuable classes.

  • Analyzed consumer behavior and historical campaigns to develop data-driven creative briefs. Focused on conceptualizing multi-platform advertising solutions across digital, print, and traditional media.

  • Mastered versatile professional writing styles, including press releases, executive summaries, and digital copy. Emphasized clarity, brevity, and persuasive messaging for diverse organizational audiences.

  • Managed the end-to-end editorial and design process for print and digital spreads. Focused on content creation, photo and text editing, and high-fidelity layout design using Adobe InDesign.

  • Applied principles of visual communication, including typography, color theory, and layout hierarchy, to solve design challenges. Developed a suite of digital assets using the Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Produced narrative-driven content across video, photo, and audio platforms. Gained technical proficiency in video/photo editing and sound design to communicate compelling, professional brand stories.

  • Developed comprehensive communication plans for real-world clients, focusing on situation analysis and stakeholder engagement. Ideated creative strategy for campaigns based on research, focusing on earned, owned, and paid media.

  • Explored the intersection of narrative structure and visual aesthetics. Focused on creating cohesive brand identities through intentional storytelling and user-centered design principles.
